The Langham Hotel
Project Status: Completed (for now)
The Langham Hotel was purchased by its new owners mid 2005. Zyne was drafted in almost immediately. The hotel's network was in a terrible state; several computers held together with a home 4-port switch, with 56k dialup internet access onto only one machine which received the email and online bookings for the hotel. The changeover needed to be seamless, as the hotel booking system needed to continue functioning.
We arranged:

We arranged:
- A temporary website for the hotel
- The lease of new PCs with TFT screens instead of CRTs
- An enterprise grade firewall
- Wifi network coverage of the hotel for the use of guests (with the facility to charge for use)
- An array of dumb and managed switches for the local network
- A file & webserver for the internal network
- Integration into the telephone system & bar till for billing and monitoring purposes
- We also carry out remote management of this network as part of out support contract.
The website for the Conservatory at Langhams features a Flash header designed to showcase the menu and atmosphere at the restaurant. The site also include an area with streaming videos so you can watch the head chef preparing some of the dishes served at the restaurant.
