Co-Ordination
Project Status: Ongoing
Co-Ordination has been a snowball of a task. Although it started off as a Search Engine Optimisation enhancement, it ended up being a full-on project.
Co-Ordination Catering Hire needed a new website, as their previous site did them no justice. We built them a fully editable content managed site, with an online catalogue that allows potential clients to view available products and send in requests via the site to check availability of their range. The site also features a Flash front end, shown below:
Following the success of the site, Co-Ordination is now rebranding their entire outfit to match the site; our printers will soon be printing business cards, headed paper, comp slips, contracts and so much more!
The team at Co-Ordination then moved onto their office network. Whilst outdated, their network was functional, so there was no need to rip it out and start again. We formulated a one year plan to have the network updated, which saw the installation of a hardware firewall and the removal of an antiquated inhouse mail server as the first step. We then added our own custom Linux server for mass file storage and backups, and rewired their office area with new switches and cabling.
Our dedicated servers now host their email, so they can make use of webmail as well as POP3/IMAP. All of the client PCs have been replaced with Apple iMacs running Windows XP Pro. We also remotely administer Co-Ordination's network as part of a support contract.
